I absolutely love giving cats a brush! It is so relaxing plus a great way to bond and build up trust with the cat. It’s also fun to get all the hair out of the brush afterwards, just like getting the glue off the glue stick when you are at school!
Generally people know they need to groom long haired cats but you can brush your short haired cats too, it’s especially a good idea in the warmer months when they are malting. Get your cat used to being brushed when it is very young if you can. But if your cat is older and not used to it, there are lots of ideas on the internet about ways to train them to get used being groomed by using treats.
This week I gave both Buckie and Sugar a good brush. Both their mums said they looked so soft when they returned. So if you have a cat that needs grooming while you are away, please don’t hesitant to ask me to do so.
